“Smart Peg” is an innovative Geomatics product developed to address challenges experienced with the pegging of stands during the establishment and development of townships.

“Smart Peg” was conceived through years of experience in dealing with the pegging of township developments and its associated challenges of managing survey beacons.

In resolving the abovementioned challenges, the “Smart Peg” was developed and patented within the ambits of the Professional & Technical Surveyors Act (Act 8 of 1997 as amended) as an innovative, efficient and cost effective solution.

The “Smart Peg” concept was introduced to the Chief Surveyor General of the Republic of South Africa, the South African Geomatics Institute (SAGI) and the South African Council for the Professional and Technical Surveyors (PLATO) and these institutions did not object to it’s use.
